Samhain
Samhain (“end of summer”) is a time to remember those who have passed and is also known as “feast of the dead” – occurs 30 April/1 May (31 October/1 November in the north). It is the third harvest feast. Samhain has its roots in Celtic polytheism and marks the end of the harvest, the end of the ‘light’ part of the year and beginning of the ‘dark’.
