Correct … and doesn’t that just show how above ourselves we believe ourselves to be? Who are we to demote Pluto? Pluto has been around for so much longer than we have been yet WE decide it is no longer ‘big enough’ to constitute a planet. The conceit of Man astounds me.

A few years ago an international astronomical society not only demoted Pluto to be a dwarf planet but re-classified 2 other bodies as dwarf planets. Now, they say there are 8 planets in our solar system.

All things have an ending to be sure … does it benefit any of us to worry about when, how and so on? Our collective energies are much better spent I believe in honouring our Earth Mother, respecting each other and understanding our connection to all of life. We are so blessed to be here, at this time, experiencing this life. It is short. Why should we spend such little time as we have obsessing over things over which we have no control?
